My Journey to Yoga
After an injury I discovered the world of fitness and since 2017 take delight in teaching different group fitness formats. Through Bodybalance I discovered the world of Yoga. First a weird concept to me and not really my vibe, then a deeper connection to myself and a better feeling for my own body. Since I was a teenager I struggled with body image/bodydismorphia and exercise had always been a way to change and improve my body. But Yoga hit different. I found something which I am absolutely keen about and allow me to be truly present in the moment which allows me to forget everything else happening around me. Stepping onto my mat is one of the highlights of my days and allow me to accept, love my body and appreciate the marvellous things it is capable of.
I received trainings from various teachers and learned more about the body, alignments, the mind and breath. Now I'm specialised in a modern approach to Yoga, that invites everyone to move and breath together. I combine functional movement with traditional Yoga asanas to create fun and engaging sequences that will improve your strength, flexibility and mobility.
Lucky to got introduced to Pilates
I came across the variety and training benefits of Pilates and became more and more interested in it and its specific strength exercises, which provide our bodies with a stable foundation in modern everyday life and in our free time. What do I like about Pilates? The training is diverse and personalised. Thanks to conscious breathing, the mind is integrated as well so that you not only feel toned but also balanced and relaxed after the workout. What did change for me after doing Pilates on a regular base? I feel more stable lifting heavy weights, from squats to deadlifts, pull-ups to plank. I even feel stronger in my Yoga practice because a strong core is integral for any type of exercise you do.
Why did I become a trainer?
Experiencing how the training helps me physically and mentally on a daily basis has motivated me to immerse myself more in Yoga and Pilates, to learn about their origins and to support other people with purposeful training. The positive faces and pain-free bodies of my clients show me again and again how unique and holistic the effects of Yoga and Pilates are.
