empowered through every stage

Prenatal Pilates

Pilates during pregnancy offers mindful support for body and mind. As the female body changes—both hormonally and physically—Pilates helps maintain strength, posture, and inner balance.

Especially in the later stages of pregnancy (2nd and 3nd trimester), it brings relief by strengthening deep muscles, supporting the pelvic floor, and easing tension in the back. Equipment-based Pilates, like Reformer, Tower, Chair/Baby Chair and Ped-o-Pull gently strengthens, stretches, and creates space—perfectly adapted for each stage. By learning to move, breathe, and release consciously, women not only feel better throughout pregnancy but also prepare beautifully for birth and recovery. Pilates becomes a nurturing companion for this transformative journey.

Pelvic Floor
In Pilates, we gently focus on the pelvic floor—especially important during and after pregnancy. A strong, responsive pelvic floor supports faster recovery after birth and lowers the risk of issues like incontinence later on.

Back Muscles
As the baby bump grows, the body shifts—often leading to back pain or a hollow lower back. Pilates builds deep core strength and supports posture, bringing relief and balance to the spine.

Stretching & Breathing
Pregnancy brings constant change. As your body makes space for new life, muscles and ligaments can feel tight and tired. Through mindful stretching and breathing, Pilates helps you feel open, mobile, and more at ease in your body.

Relaxation
With flowing movement and focused breath, Pilates soothes the nervous system and encourages deep relaxation—beautifully preparing both body and mind for birth.

I recommend personal training during pregnancy to address the individual changes in your body. Especially during this time, your body needs extra attention — which is why the exercises should be carefully tailored and adapted to your needs.
